Finally the day has arrived - Moving day!
We've moved in to our house this week. It's been so crazy lately, getting everything together, but we are finally close to the end goal. Now all we need, is to unpack, decorate and finish my Visa application.
The house we've moved in to, is so freaking amazing! I'm so in love with it, and I can't believe it's my new home.
We lived in a great house in Denmark, for about 7 years, but it wasn't nearly as big. Both my husband and I have our own Walk-In closets (Mine is bigger!) and I've got a place to set up my studio. In my 4 years as a photographer, I've always used my living-room as a studio, which has worked great, but I'm so happy to have a place where my studio is always ready to use. This is probably the best part of the new house!
We also have a nice backyard, 2 balconies, 4 bathrooms and a guest-room. The last being very important, as we have a long list of friends and family, that we want to come visit us. I really can't wait to see them again and as soon as the weather isn't burning hot anymore, they are flying here, to stay with us.
We also took care of getting a car, this week. Like I said, it's been busy! And crazy...
My husband bought himself a dream car. A McLaren. It's also mine ofcourse, although I doubt he will be comfortable letting me drive it. I honestly don't know if I've got the guts to do so anyway. It's crazy fast. Like a racecar. The doors open upwards, which I think is sooo cool! However it makes the parking a bit tricky. Most malls offer VIP parking to supercars for free, because it makes for a nice display, so it's not as hard as I thought it would be.
For the first few days of living in the house, we had nothing but a mat and a guest-bed. Our container was stuck in the harbour, because the system in Denmark was hacked and so they where experiencing a delay. No internet either, so we spend our days looking for new couches and we spend our evenings talking. It was really nice actually, but we were both looking forward for our things to arrive.
a few days after, all our things finally arrived! I was so nervous to see if it was all broken or destroyed by the heat. But we've been very lucky - not one single thing had been damaged! Not even my box of perfumes or my big computer screen.
I've got a thing for perfumes.. (And makeup, shoes, bags, clothes..)
Ever since I was a little girl, I've been facinated by perfumes. They smell amazing and they're always so beautiful! I concider myself a bit of a collector. I'll be doing a top ten on my favorite ones very soon!
The next thing I had to make sure of, was that my products hadn't gone stale, in the heat. I'm a big fan of The Bodyshop!
I love how natural they are and ofcourse 100% animal cruelty free!
Not one of them had gone bad - yaaaay!
Now I've got to unpack my whole walk-in closet!
People say I've got a lotof stuff.. I personally don't see it. It's a good thing I've got my own room to store all this stuff! And I think it's pretty cool that my closet has an entry to the balcony. I've planned to a point how I want this room to be decorated. This weekend I'm going shopping for a makeup table, some shelves and I want some kind of big ottoman, to place in the middle of the room. Obviously I'm going to have to move all these boxes to the studio, so I can unpack and decorate.
Lastly, I our couches arrived the next day! We still have a long way to go, but it's finally becoming a home and I'm slowly getting out of the feeling of being on the move. It's been some crazy months, but now I'm ready to get back to a normal everyday! And to unpack some more..
I hope you enjoyed reading my post today! If you have any questions, comment below.
Now I'll go relax and have a bath after a day of unpacking.
